Emergency First Response
Confidence to Care: Primary & Secondary Care
Accidents can happen anywhere—at home, at work, or at sea. The Emergency First Response (EFR) course gives you the tools and the confidence to respond to medical emergencies. While it is a prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver certification, it is a life-saving skill that is open to everyone (including non-divers!).
Be Prepared for the Unexpected
Whether you want to become a Rescue Diver or simply want to be a more helpful member of society, the EFR course is an invaluable investment. Add it to your 2026 booking today.
The EFR course focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers and increasing their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. You will master:
- Primary Care (CPR): Learn how to handle life-threatening emergencies, including chest compressions, rescue breathing, and managing spinal injuries or serious bleeding.
- Secondary Care (First Aid): Learn how to assess injuries and illnesses, including splinting, bandaging, and treating burns or allergic reactions.
AED Use: Practice how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (optional but highly recommended).
We believe basic life support training should be accessible to all our guests.
